The Weiss School
The Weiss School Parents’ Association is a vital and dynamic parent volunteer group that actively supports the School and its students by advancing the mission and values of the school.
The Parent’s Association enhances the school experience by facilitating communication among parents, the school, educators, and the broader Weiss community. The Parents Association sponsors activities that foster community spirit and student education by enhancing existing School programs with volunteers, speakers and other resources and provides active volunteer participation for the Schools fundraising efforts
All parents, guardians, and educators are members of the Association. Families are assessed an annual membership due of $35. All the funds collected go toward fun, educational and exciting programs for all the students to enjoy.
All Weiss School parents are encouraged to volunteer in their child’s homeroom, school wide events and/or school coordinated community events. The Parents’ Association initiates a list of volunteering opportunities for all parents, families and friends at the beginning of the beginning of the school year. A background check procedure is in place for all volunteers and monitored by the Weiss School. The Association offers every parent or guardian an opportunity to be involved with school activities and provides a formal link to the school.
In addition to education, the Weiss PA provides a variety of social events for all its members. The family oriented Fall BBQ, is a sponsored event in which the families come together and share. Middle school dances and end of the school year festivities are among the student’s favorite events. Grandparent’s Day, the Holiday Shop and Teacher Appreciation Week are a few of the events in which the PA helps organize.
Weiss parents, teachers and students come together to welcome over 200 grandparents to The Weiss School. The grandparents enjoyed a performance by their grandchildren and were able to visit in their classrooms. Weiss Grandparents are special!
